Munga Plains is a safari camp created for yogis, where every detail is shaped by nature. Comfortable glamping tents immerse you in the sounds of the wild, and a dedicated Yoga Shala opens onto endless savannah, inviting a deep return to presence. What makes it truly special is its setting on the edge of Chobe National Park — home to the highest concentration of elephants in the world, where four African countries meet, wildlife roams freely, and horizons stretch into infinity. It’s an unforgettable journey back to nature and to what matters most.

Cancellation Policy: 
A non-refundable deposit of $750 for a shared room and $1,000 for a private room is required to secure your spot.
All additional payments (minus processing fees and deposit): 
  • Are fully refundable if cancellation is made on or before Sept 1 
  • Are 50% refundable if cancellation is made on or before Dec 1 
  • Are non-refundable if cancellation is made after Dec 1

Our first night will be spent in a 4-start partner lodge in Victoria Falls to explore Victoria Falls and the surrounding rainforest. Then we’ll move on to our home for the week, Munga Plains, which is a sustainable and self-sufficient eco-friendly lodge. They have a bar and dining area, lounge space to enjoy the scenery and have a breath of fresh air with no distractions, a swimming pool to cool off, and a fireplace to enjoy the company of new friends.

Each glamping tent is set on wooden decking and furnished with artisanal African elements, including an ensuite bathroom with shower, mosquito net, fan, wardrobe, luggage rack, and veranda.

Each room is designed to provide a comfortable retreat experience amidst the breathtaking landscape and the whispering sounds of the African bush. The canvas walls of the glamping tent allow guests to feel truly immersed in nature, hearing the calls of hyenas another wildlife at night.

The Yoga Shala faces the open plains and offers a peaceful setting to practice movement, yoga, and meditation. You’ll feel fully immersed in the beauty and serenity of the African savannah.

  • Coming solo on a retreat is totally encouraged! If you come solo and sign up for a shared rate, you will be paired with another retreat attendee as your roommate. You will have your own bed, but you will share a tent and a bathroom.

  • We always recommend travel insurance! The small cost is always worth the peace of mind, and it can really come in handy. Safety Wing is a great option!

  • As long as you have an open mind to moving your body and trying new experiences, you are welcome! We cater our classes to multiple ability and experience levels.

    Additionally, all excursions and classes are optional, so you can choose your own adventure. But we do hope that you want to participate in the activities offered!

  • The requirements vary depending on which country you are flying from. Always check online.

    If you are traveling from the US, you will need a travel visa to enter Zimbabwe, which is where we will fly into to visit Victoria Falls. You can obtain this visa upon arrival, but we recommend securing it in advance.

    No travel visa is required for Botswana.

    Be sure you have a passport valid for at least 6 months with at least 6 blank pages.

  • Refer to the CDC requirements and recommendations for Zimbabwe and Botswana.

  • You will need to fly into Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) no later than 2pm on Saturday, March 20. Your departing flights shouldn’t leave any earlier than 1pm on Saturday, March 27.

  • Munga Plains has a wide variety of add-on experiences. They have 2, 4, and 6-night mobile safari extensions. Munga Plains will provide everything you need.
